Thomas Stewart is an associate at Deratany & Kosner. Searching for a way to meaningfully help people, Thomas clerked at Deratany & Kosner throughout law school and was immediately drawn to the impactful work of the firm. Thomas focuses his practice on civil litigation and is particularly drawn to the firm’s work on child welfare negligence, an area of law that is quickly growing as more victims become aware of their rights. He is proud to advocate for justice on behalf of his clients.

Thomas received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During his time in law school, he was an associate on the Chicago-Kent Law Review. He is humbled to continue learning about the evolving legal world and aims to continue being an exceptional advocate for justice.
